Care Built Around You, Not a Protocol

Most PT clinics manage your symptoms and send you on your way. At Reliving Performance, every plan starts with the most comprehensive evaluation you've ever had identifying the root cause of your pain so you can come back stronger, not just feel better for a week.

Why Dr. Matt

Credentials That Go Beyond the Degree

Board-certified. Residency-trained. Athletically invested.

Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist

Dr. Matt holds his OCS, one of the most respected credentials in orthopedic PT and one of the few held by a cash-based provider in the Greenville area.

Competing Triathlete & Former Powerlifter

He trains and races because he speaks your language and brings firsthand experience to every evaluation, programming decision, and conversation.

1-on-1 Care. Every Single Session.

You work with Dr. Matt directly, not a tech, not an aide. Every visit is built around you and your goals, not a shared appointment block.

Training Meets Clinical Expertise

Athlete Experience. Clinical Excellence.

Dr. Matt studied exercise science and worked as a personal trainer throughout all of his schooling long before he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University or his OCS credential through residency training in Greenville. That foundation is what makes his approach different: he doesn't just think like a clinician, he thinks like a coach. The result is rehab that actually trains you, not just treats you.

Matt Paolillo
Doctor of Physical Therapy | Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist | Owner

Matt has been invested in health and wellness his whole life. He has always found the human body and movement fascinating, studying exercise science and working as a personal trainer since he was 17, competing in bodybuilding and powerlifting throughout college, and now racing triathlons as a seasoned endurance athlete.

Originally from upstate New York, he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut and moved to Greenville for residency training to become a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).

Matt brings together his background in personal training, orthopedic manual therapy, dry needling, and a deep understanding of how the body moves under load creating an individualized program built around your goals, not a generic protocol.

Matt has helped me with 2 different injuries now, shoulder subluxation and elbow tendonitis both in the same arm. He got me back to climbing as quickly as I could've hoped, the only way it could have improved quicker is if I came to him earlier. Highly recommend working with him and I will be back if I injure myself again

The team at Reliving Performance has been so helpful in calming down this neck/nerve pain I was feeling in my left arm. Work and training were limited, even running flared it up. Back on the road to fitness and feeling as good as ever.

Matt has been incredibly helpful with a few different issues I’ve had over the last year. The assessment and diagnosis is thorough and I can’t overstate how good it feels to be treated by someone who understands the ins and outs of running that I was trying to get back to. I recommend Matt to any athlete who wants to get back to their old self or improve their performance post-injury!

Matt is the best PT! During my half marathon training last year, I suffered from plantar fasciitis & ankle pain. He helped me get race ready & helped me build back my strength after the race. Matt is great at checking in each week & adjusting the workouts as needed. I would not have been able to complete my half without his help!
