Back Pain Physical Therapy in Greenville, SC

Your Back Shouldn't Call the Shots

Back pain has a root cause, and recurring back pain rarely fixes itself. We dig past the symptoms to find what's actually driving it, then build a 1-on-1 plan that gets you back to lifting, training, and moving without bracing for the next flare.

What Recurring Back Pain Is Really Costing You

The Pain Keeps Coming Back

Rest calms it down, so you return to training, then weeks later the same ache is back. Without knowing the cause, you're stuck managing flare-ups instead of resolving them.

You're Holding Back in Training

You skip deadlifts, shorten runs, and brace before every lift. Working around your back instead of trusting it stalls your progress, and the fear of reinjury never fully leaves.

You're Guessing at What Helps

Stretching, foam rolling, a new mattress, random core work, you've tried it all. None of it holds because it targets the symptom, not the mechanical cause underneath it.

Common Conditions We Treat

What Brings People In for Back Pain

People come to us when back or spine pain keeps interrupting training, work, and everyday movement, and they want to understand why, not just which stretch to try next.

Low Back Pain - Aching, stiffness, or sharp pain in the lower back that flares with lifting, sitting, or training load.

Sciatica - Pain, tingling, or numbness that travels from the low back into the glute or down the leg.

Mid Back Pain - Stiffness or pain between the shoulder blades that worsens with desk hours, posture, or overhead work.

Neck Pain - Cervical stiffness and pain that often ties into upper back tension and long hours at a screen.

Hip Pain - Hip tightness or pain that frequently shows up alongside, or gets mistaken for, low back issues.

Hip Impingement (FAI) - Pinching or restriction at the front of the hip that changes how your low back moves and loads.

Arthritis - Joint-related stiffness and ache in the spine or hips that limits mobility and tolerance for activity.

Overuse Injuries - Training-load and repetitive-strain issues in the back that keep returning despite rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about back pain PT in Greenville? Here's what most people want to know.

Do I need a referral or imaging to start?

No. South Carolina is a direct access state, so you can come straight to us without a physician referral or imaging in hand. We'll listen to your full story, assess how your back moves, and tell you honestly whether PT is the right starting point.

Do you accept insurance?

We're cash-based and out-of-network. We don't bill insurance directly, but we provide superbills you can submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement, and we accept HSA and FSA. You get full sessions with no insurance limits dictating your care.

Can I keep training and lifting with back pain?

In most cases, yes. The goal is to keep you moving as much as your body can handle while we resolve the root cause. We'll adjust your training around what's flaring it up and progressively load it back as things improve. Complete rest is rarely the answer.

What does the first visit look like?

Your first visit is the most thorough back evaluation you've likely had. We spend the full session understanding your history, assessing how your spine, hips, and core move, and pinpointing what's driving the pain. You leave with a clear plan, and treatment often starts that day.

I've had back pain that kept coming back, why would this be different?

Most people who come to us have managed symptoms without ever addressing the cause. Every session is 1-on-1 with your physical therapist, no techs, no divided attention. We find what's actually breaking down, resolve it, and send you home with the tools to keep it from returning.
